Our team deals with data security, confidential data and personal information protection (including GDPR compliance). We are members of the global Deloitte team operating in Central Europe (18 countries) and our primary language is English. We are looking for a new senior colleague who likes to work with data, is interested in Data Privacy and already has experience in this field. It is possible to start immediately.
Within your role you will be
- Assisting with the continuing development of the firm’s new and existing data protection and privacy;
- Researching, drafting, consulting upon, communicating and implementing internal policies and guidelines that promote international compliance with data protection laws and regulations;
- Taking ownership and being responsible for helping the firm to complete LIAs, DPIAs, audits and other documentation provided by the firm and relevant business areas to ensure compliance with data protection regulation;
- Providing advice, assistance and support to the business teams and in-house lawyers with ensuring data privacy and client confidentiality in the areas of third-party suppliers, data processing/sharing arrangements, outsourcing, cloud computing, mobile applications and other new technological and digital initiatives;
- Supporting the firm with the implementation of specific projects relating to data protection and privacy, including global cyber security projects, providing advice and assistance where required on data protection and privacy matters, rolling-out training, communications and ongoing support.
What do you need to do the job
- At least 4-5 years of experience in at least one of these areas: Compliance, Data Protection, GDPR;
- A university degree (in law);
- Speaking and writing (especially of legal texts) in English is not a problem for you;
- You have a strong communication and organizational skills (especially in project management and mentoring of junior colleagues);
- You are careful, systematic and it is not difficult for you to meet the deadline;
- You have experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook (XP);
- You like to work both in a team and individually.
